Datto,

An interesting point, which is counterintuitive, the OLDER female outpaced
the younger. Hardly a valid statistical datum with only two datasets, but
still interesting. You did not state your age and sex, so we are left
wondering where you fit in this equation.

It would be interesting to see a larger cross section of people, but I don't
see how we might get it unless some thru hikers who maintained extensive
journals are willing to contribute.
