Firestarter is not a duplicate of matches/lighter. It is something dry that 
will catch fire easy. Lint from a drier works good.

You should have a water filter or some type of water treatment.

All on the list SHOULD be carried. Most hikers do not.

Having been in a survival situation, I wish i had all this stuff. All I had 
was a knife.
