[at-l] resupply

Well, just what sort of epiphany does one have in a grocery store? Of
course, I am absolutely amazed at American grocery stores. We have some of
everything the world has to offer, plus much of it is all fixed ready for us
to just heat (if necessary) and put on the table. What do our grocery
stores say about us as a society? It's mind boggling. We don't even have
to make our own salads; someone else has sorted, washed, mixed, and
pre-packaged an assortment of nice greens for our salads. And I love it!
We can have a supper of a Greek salad, real Chinese food for the entree, an
Italian dessert, and top it all off with a Coca-Cola. Hey, we're Americans!
My husband and I sometimes just stop and stare at the shelves in disbelief
that all that stuff is there, and that there are SO many choices of each
item. Don't mind me. I'm just suffering from a slight touch of wonder.
Now, back to our original post---Arthur, what was your epiphany? Maybe we
could learn from it, too. Leslie (anklebear)

P.S. I did have a truly amazing experience the other day at a mall food
court. The place I chose was the Cajun something-or-other. The employees
were all Asian. The food was Asian, even had soy sauce on the counter and
steamed vegetables. But the names of the foods were Cajun. I forged ahead
and got some kind of chicken (that being about all the meat that food courts
serve) and had the best Chinese meal I've had in a long time. "I like to be
in America..."
