[at-l] hostels etc.

One of my most unpleasant experiences on the AT was meeting a real pain in the ass who insisted on telling everyone how wonderful a time he had while staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Hiawasee. Saying things like I can't understand why anyone would stay at a place like the Blueberry Patch and the like when a H I is in the area.
Needless to say this hiker did not make it out of N.C.
I love my comfort and stayed in many Mo-hotels on my hike I would never rate one hostel over another. My Y2K hike was my 2nd on the
AT my 1st being a 3 section hike so I was familiar with some of the accomodations near the trail anytime I was asked about my opinion on any particular place I would respond saying you should "find out for yourself". All the hostels along the trail all serve the hiker some are more comfortable then others some are more expensive and some are nickle and dime hustlers but when the lights go out every place looks the same
