I found climbing up Kelly Knob wasn't that bad.  I really enjoyed spending=20

It's Spur's perception and probably influenced by the fact that it was at th=
e
end of a 16 mile day which had already included approx. 3000+ feet in
elevation gain and 3000 in drop - in and out of Unicoi Gap, up and down
Rocky Mtn and last but not least, up and down Tray Mtn..=A0=A0 If you compar=
e the
1 mile from Thoreau Springs to Baxter Peak on a topo, it is about the same
elevation gain over the same length of trail, so yes,=A0 elevation gain-wise=
,
it is a good comparison - although I hear the terrain is quite different.
