[at-l] Weather URL

How true, Sly.

Too bad that it is true, but it is. Even the weather forecasters talk about
"wonderful weather" as the lakes and rivers dry up and the weekend golfers,
beach goers and day hikers enjoy the illusion of being in nature, w/o having
to put up with nature, itself."

So sad!!!

Is there any hope that someday, folk will say "it's ok, the area needs the
rain!" or maybe "isn't this great, the area needs the rain!"????

Of course thru-hikers might be among some of the first converts to reality.
"It's ok, the area needs the rain and I, or the crowd behind me, might just
find a high spring with some water, rather than have to hike half way down
the mountain!"

Somehow, I doubt it. More likely it will be, "If this had just happened to
folk a couple weeks ahead of me, I might just find a high spring with some
water, rather than have to hike half way down the mountain! Then I could
enjoy the illusion of being in nature, w/o having to put up with nature."
