welllllll..
I still have the canvas cabin tent I had in my teens but in the spirit of Junk Yard Wars,
I cannibalized the poles to make sails for a canoe. (woulda worked better if the canoe had a keel <g>).
It was replaced with a two room nylon jobby with chain corded poles that Hub and I used to do tattoos
at biker bashes.
There is a Kmart 7 x 7 ft dome tent that weighs a remarkable 9.9 lbs that goes car camping but I lost the fly.
There is a 7 X 8 foot Backcountry by Eureka that weighs < 8 that we use for car camping and 4 dog hikes.
There is a 5 x 7 foot Mt Pass by Eureka that weighs < 5 goes for a two dog hike
There is a 3 x 8 foot Zephur by Eureka that weighs <4 which goes for a no dog hike
There is a Coleman Peak 2 which hasn't even been seam sealed yet
There is the dog's new Bug Hut which is still in the box because I feel guilty about breaking my
promise of NO MORE TENTS
And the instant that silnylon comes in camo, there will be a NOMAD
This is ridiculous since last year all but one of my trips were with a tarp............sheeeeesh.....
