[at-l] Hiking poles



Don't do what I did the first time I used my Lekis.  There were these little
black plastic caps on them that wore through on my first hike.  I called the
company for replacements.  "Oh, those.  They are just there for
transportation to keep the tips from going through the box or your pack.
You're supposed to take them off to hike."  Ooops!  My bad.  <G>  Leslie
