Not true. You certainly can get slides from digital photos. You have search
a bit to find a photolab who does this, but they do exist. Your local one
hour photo probably can't,. But any service bureau that works with
professional photographers can.
If you intend to do this and project the slides, it really helps to shoot
them hi-rez.
