[at-l] Marmot PreCip Pants
I bought a pair of the PreCip pants about a month ago (from REI, even), and
while they have had limited day use so far, I think they are great for the
price (I did not want to spend $150-250 or more on Gore-Tex pants). No
problems with water penetration and they do seem as "breathable" as is
scientifically possible (i.e. not clammy). I have never seen the Frogg
Toggs in person, so I can't compare durability, but the PreCip pants seem
plenty rugged. I'll know better in a year or so, but I am really happy with
each of the Marmot clothing products I own. As a matter of fact, I wish I'd
waited and bought the PreCip jacket instead of the waterproof but
non-breathable Sierra Designs jacket I purchased last year.
They get my "thumbs up" for the time being. As always, YMMV.

Subject: [at-l] Marmot PreCip Pants
Been thinking about purchasing a pair of Marmot Precip pants for some long
wet section hikes coming up. The cost is about $65. Anyone with any opinions
or experiences with them...are they durable and waterproof (and worth the
$65
) ???
thanks....*Beantown*
