[at-l] Question

I have a question that I am sure someone here can answer for me. I currently
have a Jansport Alaska 115 pack, 7000 cu, in. collapsed, weighs 6lb 13 oz.
Now to the heart of my question This pack I know is WAY to much for a
thru-hike. What I am wondering is what volume would you suggest. I am
looking in the range of 4000 cu. in. Am I way off should I look for more or
less?
