Yes, it's called slide film (or chrome, or E-6), and can be recognized
by the box saying E-6 process, or in the case of Kodachrome, K-14
process. The films are usually named *chrome, e.g. Kodachrome,
Ektachrome, etc....and that's another way to recognize them.

Many drugstores carry Kodachrome and Ektachrome.

Kodachrome isn't very good for projecting, it fades pretty quick under
the lamp.

Uh oh, they don't make APS slide film. Well, they do, but it's not
available in the US. Anyway, you'd have trouble projecting it, not to
mention getting it processed.

If you're still interested in slides, you'll need a 35mm camera, and
some understanding of exposure, since slide film isn't as forgiving as
print film. 

You'll also need some way to view them...
