Is the Family from the North still out there?

As I understand it, they are father, mother and five kids aged roughly
3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 from Maine.  I heard reports of their hiking in New
England during late summer then they show up in the Shenadoahs around
the first of November and they appear to have been on the trail ever
since.
