[at-l] PA RUCKSTERS....Paper or Plastic??????

Well, here's a suggestion/question:

Being that most all of us who attend the Ruck are backpackers and, that being 
said, we are accustomed to carrying our own dishes and eating utensils WITH 
us...WHY not everyone bring their OWN mugs, their OWN bowls, their OWN sets 
of utensils, their OWN plates,etc. We all line up to get food, so why 
couldn't we all line up (and/or filter in through the kitchen) to wash our 
OWN stuff? Then we take all of our OWN stuff back home with us. This way, we 
throw away no plastic or paper and no one person or few people are standing 
there washing dishes???????

Am I missing something in all this? Maybe there are legit reasons why this 
doesn't work...?
