OK.....get a thruhiker to post a list of what they ate in a four day period,
Better yet, get a couple to, cause it's really different from hiker to hiker.
Go to a grocery store and add up how much it will cost to buy it,  Then
go to a convenience store and do the same. Average your results.
Multiply by 50.   That's your starting point.
