also in all due respect to you Sly, but I was serious. TR _was_ an
outdoorsman,
He hiked, fished and hunted and from what I have read, when he looked at
the grandeur
out west and said "this must be saved", I believed he was speaking from his
heart.

Clintoon on the other hand, walked 1/4 mile of the AT and laid three rocks
on a retaining wall.
Other than that, the only time I've seen him outdoors in on one of those
toxic waste sites that some
people call golf coruses. As an earlier poster said, I believe this is all
about his legacy. Trying to
erase the stain, he is seeking to be the most (fill in the blank) president
ever. Prolly had focus groups
tell him that an environmental-thrust polls well so that's the deal. To do
that, he cheated,
  BIG SURPRISE!!!
and subverted our constitution to do something that the people, through
their representatives,
would not support. The cynical side of me says he may just be doing this
to lay a tar pit for Bush.
Daring him to undo these EOs and suffer the wrath of the greens. I hate to
be judgmental,
but it seems to me, it ain't about the land...it's all about politics with
Willy Jeff.

I despise him, but that isn't the point. Beyond the land, for me, lays
freedom. The are entwined in
my mind. A man who steals my freedom to protect the land is no hero in my
book.
