I missed 2000 - so far as hiking is concerned. My last hike (as in most recent) was the Panther Creek Trail in NE GA, 12/31/99.  The next day (01/01/00) I was emergencied to the hospital and the rest - as they say - is boring.  My *next* attempt at hiking got watered down to a walk in the park.  Literally.  On my local greenway.  01/01/01.  Yesterday.  What happened to 2000?  Did somebody move it?

My big goal is hike - soon and often.  I'm no longer proud.  Day hikes will do.  Overnights, even better.  With or without gear.  With or without forethought.  I miss this stuff!!  I love the mountains but won't wait until I get there to hike...

My goal for this month is a day hike at Eno River.  On a brilliantly sunny cold day.

Lightning getting my modem 3 days after I finally got back online after being too sick to plug in for 3 months (and out of work for 2 months).

I wish hiking on everyone.  And if not hiking, more trip reports.  Keep them coming.  Um.  Yum, yum.  Love them trip reports.  Hike.  Hike.  Hike.  Hike.  Hike.  Hike.  Hike.
