more "outings" of smart-ass elitist thru-hikers like myself.

actually, i like things the way they are with the at-l.  i have no
expectations except that i can express my views and gain insight from other
hikers like myself (both the smart-asses and the serious ones as well).
it's hard to believe that it's 2001 already.  weird.  where did the time go?
