Re: [at-l] telling stories (was: look at me)



Down here in Atlanta, it would be a little freezing to walk around in
naked feet, much less other parts. 

Last night at Walgreen's my wife spied a guy going in with boots but
wearing shorts on a very cold night. I saw the man in the aisle, and
asked him where he hiked. Not a hiker, he announced he had lost 130
pounds on a Stairmaster and worked outside daily as an earth grader. He
knew that hats and gloves go a long way toward making legs warm. 

Of course, that story has nothing to do with anything, but his calves
looked like most I've seen on Standing Indian. Apparently there are
other paths to great legs and cool boots than a thru hike. ;-)
