I have the REI Rising Star pack and its the most comfortable pack I have ever
tried on. I've hiked about 240 miles total with it and haven't found anything
I don't liek except it is a bit small with a winter bag and fleece. Probably
woulnd't be an issue with shared gear. Navigator and Dee also have this pack.
It fits Dee's daughter who is tiny so I am sure it would fit the average girl
scout. Dee can tell you more details.
This pack is 3300cc, weighs approx 4 pounds and is pretty inexpensive -$99
not on sale, $69 when they go on sale. The specs on the web site say it fits
torsos 12"-24" and waists 23" to 44".

If you're going to walk on thin ice, you might as well dance.
