[at-l] What about that Warren Doyle story?

This past summer, in August, I heard that the "Slackpack Tour" got busted
in the Whites for illegal camping. I'm wondering if anyone on this list
knows the real story, I'm interested.

One Story was that Warren Doyle's group, sans Warren, was bagged on the S.
slope of Mooselauke. The ranger who wrote the tickets wrote $500 for each
member, totaling somewhere around $3,000.

Another story put the incident closer to Hexacuba Shelter, South of
Glencliff, with the tickets part similar.

Later heard the ranger described as "over zealous" and that the tickets
were dismissed. Another story told of Warren having a real fit when he
heard about it all.

I'm curious about the real story if anyone knows. Thanks.
