[at-l] Hiking in the Smokies

I agree about hiking the northern half. I spent some time at the Mt Cammaer
(sp?) fire tower since it has been re-built, it is very scenic, unless it is
socked in with clouds.
I too am planning a hike that weekend, but I'm not so sure about the
Smokies, I will watch the weather forecast before I decide a few days out.
My alternate plan is to go to the Big South Fork area, if weather looks
rough in the Smokies.
Are your dates of travel set in stone? I intend on being out the 29th-31st.
