I seriously doubt this rumor.
It goes against Gov. Baxter's wilderness directive, consideration of the 
fragile Alpine zone, and common sense.
The Park HQ is closed right now, but I'm calling on Monday to see what's up.

ps There used to be a Shelter up on the Hunt Spur, you used to be able to see 
the burnt remains by Oh Joy stream.
