four season use, and of sleeping out under the stars, and of protecting
one's bag when being a shelter rat, and of having bug protection when
sleeping atop one's bag (or in one's fleecy) during hot hot weather, and of
having the teensy-tiny footprint to allow for plenty of stealth sites in
the neatest of places, and of being able to pack up in the time that it
takes some hikers to open their tent doors. Did my throughhike in a bivy
from Fontana north, and camped in Wisconsin snow in zero degree cold, and
missed it last week in the Smokys. My motto?
"With a bivy, if you can lay down, you're home!"

is a marvy company, and the South Col or South Wall (can never remember
which one) is around 20-24 ounces and US$150. They're essentially the same
as the Bibler (which might have been manufactured by ID for Bibler anyway).
