[at-l] Book Report

While wandering the stacks (there are only 4 non fiction ones) at my local
library, I spotted a book that I hadn't read yet, "The Appalachian Trail
Reader" edited by David Emblidge 384 pgs. This book contains essays and
other snippets ranging from Thoreau and Mackay to register entries. The
book runs from Springer to K and makes good reading while hiking is out of
the question. It is more of a "why to" than a "how to". The book is
listed at the ATC store (Item # 640PB $15.95 or $13.55 member) and I saw
it on the bookshelf at Campmor the other day when I stopped in for a map.
All in all, it is a good winter read. I don't have the ISDN # etc because
I dropped it off at the library on my way in to work this AM.
