    Observer's Comments:5am EST The final record snowfall for October is 39.8 
inches, 5.4 inches over the old record set in 1969. We cleared out of the fog 
overnight and expect to remain in the clear this morning, allowing a view of 
a sunrise for the first time in six days. 
Note: The State Park building is closed, there is NO SHELTER ON THE SUMMIT,
