There is a new site on-line, TrailQuest, dedicated to providing information
and providing services to hikers.  There are separate areas for the
Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail and the Continental Divide Trail.

There's a chatroom / chat club in the AT area that has over 500 members in
22 countries around the world.  We also provide free journal space and
set-up for long distance hikers.  The web address is:
