[at-l] sports drink



I found the recipe in a family magazine.  I have not tried it but it
sounds good.

Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 2 cups water and 1/4 teaspoond salt.  Heat in
microwave until all ingredients are disolved.(about 1 minute).  Let cool.
 
add 1/4 cup orange juice and about 1 3/4 cup of caffeine-free(fruity
flavor) herbal tea.  Chill and drink.

This might work for day hikes.  I still have a large quanity of gator-aid
powder I bought about a year ago.  I just put a little in my water bottle
and add water.
