Find a large cardboard box and discard the box at the airport, OR use the 
duffel and then give up the duffel as a "tip" in lieu of cash(or along with) 
to the taxi cab driver that delivers you to where-ever (heard of this 
technique used successfully in Yosemite this summer :->, not sure European 
drivers would be as receptive), OR try out one of those heat shrink wrapping 
systems, can be pre-purchased at UHAUL or at larger airport departure 
terminals, and discard the shrink wrap when you arrive.
