For parking:  Why not contact the Hoch's ( jeff & nancy) at the Hike Inn
for Shuttling?  You could leave your vehicle with them and they will
take you to the damm or wherever you start and even pick you up when you
finish.  They do it all the time for section hikers.  You could stay
with them and get an early start in the am so you can skip the trashy
first shelter.  If your hiking back to the damm, you call them from
there and they pick you up.
