When I began section hiking (some years have been tiny sections<G>), there
weren't any privies in GA.  I don't know what their situation is now.
Muskrat Shelter in NC had the first privvy going north.  It was in the open
air with just a piece of plastic stuff wrapped around part of it.  But my
hiking partner, my daugher, and I stood in line waiting to use the dumb
thing!  Leslie
