I haven't tried the Jerky Shooter yet but have used fruit puree many times
on drying trays.  I thicken the puree with apple sauce.  This doesn't seem
to change the taste at all, just adds some body.  After drying I dust the
roll-ups with powdered sugar (confectionary sugar) to reduce stickiness and
add calories.  Yummm.  With apple sauce added the puree might work in the
shooter.
