I wonder if these are the same tiny pink protein pieces that are in the
Nissin Cup Noodles Spicy Shrimp. They are certainly fine in that dish, and
it's a good backpacking meal (300 calories), but the cup is kind of bulky
and fragile. OTOH, if they are the same dried shrimp that I have purchased
at an Asian grocery, they were very tough and never rehydrated. I think
that have to be freeze dried in the Cup Noodles, since they rehydrate so
fast.

Bring lots of Texas Pete just in case <g>.
