I heard or read not too long ago that the park service used to allow
access to their records and 10% of them 'disappeared'.  I think their
concern now is protection and preservation.  I understand that they are
trying to figure out how to provide for access but budgetary
considerations are hampering that project.  Anyone with more info to
chip in?
