[Not the Center for ATML Venting] Re: [at-l] Verna Soule

While in Georgia we appear to be having fewer reported Lyme Disease cases
over the past few years, but an increase in other tick borne diseases. I'm
not an entomologist, but I would bet our drought has an effect by reducing
populations for the tick to live on, or for vegetation that assist in
attaching the tick to people.

For further information, consider surfing over to http://health.state.ga.us
and visit the epidemiology section.

I suggest that you prevent the tick by wearing gaiters, avoid sitting on
grass, wear light weight and light colored long sleeves and pant, and do
the tick check thing every evening before dark. I have the Lyme vaccine
offered to me for free. I'm not taking it.
