Bryson didn't give Dan a cut of the money.  Dan said
he should have gotten a share since Bryson used the handbook
and made several references to same.  This, Dan feels,
dramatically increased his or should I should I say,
'The Center's' work load because it increased  interest in the AT.
According to Dan, Bryson should have donated money to the 'Center' to
underwrite this added work. When pushed, Dan said the "work" in
question meant answering questions on the phone. 

Also, at one point, there was also a fleeting mention that 
this additional workload was in part, responsible for the 
delay (HA!) in the publishing of the non existing 99 handbook.
So that was Bryson's fault too. I swear...he actually said that.
