The Tuba-man lives.  The Blister Sisters got a toot or two out of him atop
Old Blue.  We all had a great deal of laughs at the prospect of this fella
hiking the whole way with the tuba.  He also has a full boatload of regular
gear, so he gotta be hiking with at least 70 pounds...

Okay - everyone throw in a cyber-buck and pick a number from the mileage
pool - I predict his tuba will play it's last oom-pah-pah atop Moosilauke -
milepost 392.8...
