Every time I hear the name Great Barrington, I think of a funny with our
youngest daughter.  She was once accepted at sort of an alternative college
there, Simon's Rock.  Since it was so close to The Trail, she said, "You
could come up sometime right before break to hike..." and I'm thinking that
she's going to say that she'll come hike with me, right?  No!  "...and we'll
ride home together."  As it turned out, she stayed in high school to
graduate and then went to college in Minnesota, where she's safe from her
hiking momma.  :^)  Leslie
