Hey Erin,  You come about 25 or so miles north on US 19 and 23 you will
cross the AT at Sams Gap.  This is the TN, NC stateline.  There is good
parking there.  About three miles to the south is Hogback shelter.  That
is if you want to get away for a weekend.
