Some 3,700 [car] miles later--and many fewer NH miles than I had 
planned, but that's another story...

Yes, Snail Male is correct that I summitted Mt. Washington, but our 
means of getting there might have gotten us thrown off another list...

Also stayed with Stitches in Boston, and now I'm back at Walkabout's in 
Kansas City.

(Rereading this, it sounds like I'm sleeping my way through the list. 
Well, backpackers at least understand homelessness...)
