Open burner stoves are all ALCOHOL stoves.  NEVER, NEVER, NEVER try to burn
white gas in an open stove design like this.

You can use a 3oz tuna can, and you can skip the cover at the cost of some
oomph.  Roy has also worked out a way to get the thing to simmer.  Check the
PCT-L archives for more details.
