Did u notice this guy is traveling quite fast??? 19.6 mpd
July 11 ~ Bears Den Hostel ... in N.Virginia-W.Va.-Maryland - map
at milepoint 982.2 north, 50 days since start of hike, averaging 19.6 miles 
per day

I met him at HF on Sun. July 16 after he had taken a few days in DC with his 
cousinn, Greg.  He was using a Golite pack which he chnaged to at Fontana 
when he decided to "go light"...

Thanks for the post, I will now have to read the rest of his journal....
