Re: [at-l] Blister King

Blister Sister, where are you? Sounds like something you can answer?

1- have you been to a doctor to find out why your feet sweat so much? When
my grandfather had a prollem with his underarms (he got a WWI bullet in his
arm that hit some nerve and his one underarm just poured water all the
time), he got a pension. But in around 1975? or so, scientists/doctors had
discovered an operation that would halt the flow of persperation. He opted
NOT to have the operation because he was born in 1899 and didn't want any
more operations -- they didn't make him due to his age, anyway. WHAT do
your doctors say?

2- I used Second Skin on my hike last weekend and it works GreaT -- but I
blister at my heel, not on the bottom of my feet.

3- Blistering on the bottoms of your feet is different from toe and heel
blisters -- I think it's a "gait" prollem and I'm not sure how much the
sweating has to do with it. I would direct you to a specialist. Maybe an
orthotic would benefit?

4- Does your family have a history of "wet feet"? What did they do to
prevent bilsters?

5- Some hikers who sweat a lot change their sox often, at least at the
middle of the day and as soon as they get into camp. Others use fabric
shoes. And of course, if you have strong ankles and don't bushwack, you
could hike in Tevas/Chacos.

6- You could also check with a good herbalist -- there may be an herb you
could take or drink or rub on your feet that would help.

Just morning thoughts,
Coosa

The second one is a rather odd
