There is a common enough story told here in Maine, of a couple of escapees
from a local prison who tried to hide out in a salt marsh in bug season.
They spent the evening, the night and part of the next morning in the marsh
being eaten by the bugs. The two men turned themselves into the authorities
the next day suffering from blood poisoning due to all the bites they had
suffered.

True? I wouldn't try it :).
