I'm headed to the High Peaks late this week.  After the holiday...

Any local info on conditions?  Are the streams a high as they are 
here (MA)?  How 'bout them blackflies?  We'll base camp (prob around 
the Flowed Lands) and do summits as day hikes (Marcy, Colden, etc). 
Up by 12 down by 2, the weather looks hot and humid.
