[at-l] Binocs

Mine are 12x50 Celestron binocs ... way to heavy to carry on a regular basis .. but oh so fun when i do ... i solve the motion problem in a variety of ways, most commonly lying on my back and using my body and arms to hold them steady ... but not as good as resting them on a stiffer staff or hiking pole from REI or LEKI ...
FYI ... Andromedea is gorgeous through these binocs ... the Pleides, too ...
Scorpio offers some fine viewing and you can pick up some red from the nebula in Orion ...
The moon and planets are fun, too ... it resolves star clusters nicely ...
The kids think they're neat at baseball games where you can pick out blades of grass ...
I've done a little birding with them, too ...
They were a gift from my kids after I lost our telescope from an apartment fire
