Lyme disease is limited to the deer tick, but you should remain concerned. 
I would look at where and how she plays, and means to reduce risk of 
getting a tick. While Lyme disease is a problem, where you live I'd be much 
more worried with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever - much more lethal and nasty.

Look at WildBill's tick sites for excellent information and advice.
