This is actually how the Camelbak was born (acording to an article I read in
Mountain Bike magazine last fall). Apparently, the patent-holders of the
Camelbak were Mountain Bikers competing in the very very dry 24-hours of
Moab race a few years back. One guy was an EMT and the other an Engineer --
before the race, they concocted the first ever Camelbak out of an IV bag and
surgical tubing, which they inserted into an old gym sock, which they then
tied to their backs. A multimillion dollar idea was born.
