[at-l] Thru-hiker books are ............

Thru-hiker books are what the author & publisher decide the book should be.

Just finished reading 2 books by thru-hikers:

1) A Journey North : 1 Woman's Story of Hiking the Appalachian Trail by a 96
NOBOer -
https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1878239910/104-6298812-9923923

2) On the Beaten Path : An Appalachian Pilgrimage by a 97 NOBOer -
https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1585740233/104-6298812-9923923

I am NOT endorsing Amazon.com but just listed the urls for your convenience.

It seems obvious that each of these authors (thru-hikers) had entirely
different objectives for writing their books... Both books have info that is
entertaining as well as thought provoking but neither book can capture the
complete AT experience, can any book do this.... take what u want & leave
the rest but please DO take the time to read these offerings.
