Hey Paddler--You probably posted your list before your thru (and I probably have it, come to think of it), but I'm wondering if your gear llist has changed from then. If so, how would you make it different?
Would you mind posting again? I'd like to reduce my pack and would like to see how you do it. I tend to drink lots of water, so I start with a lot. Two liters. You may start with less. I generally figure two pounds of food a day or less. How much do you figure and do you have any idea of how much is snacks and how much is for evening meals and/or breakfasts?
So starting a 5-day hike, I'd have four pounds of water and about 10 of food. So I'm already down to 11 pounds of actual gear I can carry if I'm to go under 25. My pack weighs about 5 and my bag 3, so now I have only 3 pounds left for a tent/tarp/whatever and everything else.
Seeing how you do it would be a big help. Thanks.
